Wow I know everyone had a great time. I learnt that when we went on the pretend journey on the waka we had to bring three things. They were a Hue a Matau and last but not least a coconut.

I learned the chief of Papa New Guiny was a bird scientist and he loved one specific bird called Koikoia.

I learned all about māori and the best part was when we learned about a great chief sailed from papa Niugini to Atearoa

I learnt that the Maori people use a Marie to catch fish and a hue was used to drink water from and they also used coconut to drink from and that they would also use the flesh to make rope.

I learnt lots at the museum.I learnt about a bird called koi koia and what the maori needed to take on their journeys when following the koi koia.😃

I learnt that coconuts are used to carry food and water.Some people eat the flesh of coconuts.

what I learned at the Musuem was when we saw the hue . The hue is made for water and food . IT was Hollow.

I learnt that 1000 years ago the items that people use to use most were a hue (A old drink bottle)a mataue (A fishing hook)and a coconut to make string and drink from it and other things with it.So that's the best thing I did at the museum.;)

I learnt that the maori people went on a journey to New Zealand and had to bring coconut as their food and water.Also learnt that a special bird is called koikoia.I also learnt some new maori words!
